One of my favorite thing about photographing weddings is seeing all the different ways couples choose to celebrate their love and marriage – there truly is no wrong approach to a wedding day. From epic 300 guest parties, to an elopement off the grid, it’s such a joy to see couples choose wedding plans that feel right.
Zoe and Geoff, with an upcoming move to Hawaii, decided to gather their close family members for an intimate and romantic Seattle City Hall wedding. After spending much of their early relationship riding the ferry between Seattle and Gig Harbor, they also knew they wanted to incorporate the ferry and time on the water into the day.
From Zoe:
“We wanted to combine classic elegance with simplicity and restraint, to create a timeless ambiance. Coming from South Carolina, Geoff wanted to wear a tuxedo to capture the formality of the occasion. With my west coast roots, I was drawn towards soft and simple design elements. Using our backgrounds as inspiration, Gather Design Company and Callista & Company conceptualized a formal yet contemporary design, featuring blush and cream spring flowers, textured linens from, decorative chargers and flatware from, clean stemware, and modern paper goods with organic touches.”
