I’m so excited to share this Smith Rock State Park wedding editorial, captured just outside of Bend, OR. This location is well loved by so many for good reason. With stunning rock formations reaching towards the sky and sheltering a winding river below, it’s mesmerizing blend of Pacific Northwest green and warm desert neutrals. On this warm October evening, the setting sun cast a brillant glow over the valley as we entered the park for this memorable editorial shoot.

Designed by Ginny Au in soft dusty blues and neutral tones – a reflection of the element of wind, this shoot was the perfect blend of refind elegance and organic simplicity. I was especially drawn to the textures – the silk of our bride’s Rubicon gown catching the breeze, the soft linen draped over the reception table, and the neutral tones of the surrounding rock. I’d love to return to Oregon for a Smith Rock State park wedding or engagement session – if you’d like to shoot in this incredible space, get in touch!
